Samba QPR deal has no relegation clause

It's been revealed Christopher Samba's QPR contract has no relegation clause.

The Sunday Mirror says there is no escape clause in the contract he signed to keep him at Rangers for the next four and a half years.

That represents a significant pay cut from what he was earning in Russia with Anzhi.

His agent Walid Bouzid said: "There were other clubs interested in Christopher but after speaking to the Rangers owner Tony Fernandes, he wanted to be part of the project at the club.

"Christopher is at Rangers for the long haul and his focus at the moment is to do all he can to keep the club in the Premier League."
