Samaras right on top of his game says Celtic boss

Celtic manager Neil Lennon feels Georgios Samaras is currently at the top of his game.

The much-maligned Greece international is often the scapegoat for any Hoops failures but Lennon feels he is doing the right things to win the Parkhead boo-boys around with his recent consistency.

"Samaras is at the top of his game right now and he brings another dimension to the team," Lennon said after Sunday's 2-0 win at St Johnstone.

"He's been so consistent and he's shown immense character.

"He wasn't playing as well as he should have been, he was the whipping boy. But he's turned that around in my eyes.

"There might still be a few detractors out there, but he was brilliant, just as he was brilliant against Udinese on Thursday."
