Samaras relaxed as Celtic hunt for new striker
Georgios Samaras insists he doesn't fear for his Celtic future as boss Tony Mowbray scours Europe for a new striker.
The Hoops boss watched £3million-rated French hitman Olivier Giroud score and play well for Tours on Friday night.
Samaras said: "I'm part of this team and when the boss picks me I try to score goals and help the team with my performance.
"If I can't score at least I can make a pass to a team-mate.
"I don't have any reaction to stories about new strikers. I just concentrate on my own game.
"I don't know what players will come in during the window, but if any do they will be for the good of the team, that's for sure.
"I feel I'm in the manager's plans 100 per cent.
"New faces will arrive in January and I'm sure there will be players who can help us win the title. That's good for the club and good for us.
"The gaffer is an honest guy and the players know exactly what is going on.
"I'm playing, scoring goals and I think I'm playing well.
"I'm not thinking about leaving Celtic, I'm happy in Glasgow.
"This is a club I like. The team plays attacking football and creates lots of chances and, of course, we challenge for titles."
