Ivory Coast-born but naturalised Australian Jonas Salley has enjoyed a great start to the Chinese Super League campaign.

In the season opener, Salley's club beat hot favourites Chengdu Blades 2-0 with Salley providing the grunt in midfield.

However in round 2 despite controlling the game for the majority of the 90 minutes, Shaanxi went down 1-0 to Shandong Luneng after a 59th minute counter attack produced the game breaker.

Salley was again one of the best players on the park.
