Blackburn Rovers dodged a bullet missing out on Ronaldinho, says fullback Michel Salgado.
Salgado crossed swords with former Barcelona star Ronaldinho while with Real Madrid.
"Maybe he wouldn't be in the mood to play here in England with the weather," he said of the departing AC Milan midfielder.
"He would be a big name, maybe around the world they will talk about us a bit more. But, on the pitch, I would prefer playing well and getting results."
