Michel Salgado admits it would be easy for him to quit Real Madrid and play elsewhere ahead of the winter market.

The Spain fullback, however, insists: "I am well aware and know that I am experiencing an awkward situation, but I will never give up.

"I could find another club, but my intention is to stay here at Real Madrid. I have been here nine years and it is simply very difficult for me to think about playing for another team."
