PSV Eindhoven defender Carlos Salcido isn't sure Mexico should be seeking to appoint Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson as new coach.

"I have to say that I needed three or four months to get used to a country where nobody spoke Spanish and where I had to adapt myself to everything," Salcido said. "We cannot risk waiting to see what happens as we do not have a lot of time before the World Cup.

"We need to analyse whether the new coach has the ability to adapt himself to everything.

"If he adapts quickly, that's great, but you know we don't have too much time before the World Cup."
