Southampton defender Jack Stephens says that the Saints didn't deserve to come out empty-handed from their home game against Arsenal on Wednesday.
The Saints were arguably the better side in the first half of the game against the Gunners but conceded two second-half goals to lose the tie 2-0.
"I think we more than matched a good Arsenal side for the majority of the game," said Stephens.
"So we can take a lot of credit from that, but there has got to be a time when we start to put these games to bed.
"I think we had some good opportunities and we limited them to very few clear-cut chances but we have to be able to make the most of that."
