Carlton Cole is close to moving to French club Saint-Etienne according to Sky Sports.
The 29-year old striker is a free agent after leaving West Ham United earlier this summer and is expected to sign a deal with Les Verts sometime this week after he discusses personal terms.
Cole has been sought out as a replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who recently left the Stade Geoffrey-Guichard to join Borussia Dortmund.
