Saint-Etienne's Zouma targeted by QPR

QPR are believed to be showing considerable interest in Saint-Etienne young gun Kurt Zouma.

The 17-year old centre-back is attracting plenty of attention from outside of France with Loftus Road boss Mark Hughes reportedly holding preliminary talks with Ligue 1 outfit.

But club chairman Rolan Romeyer has made it clear that any club, including the R's, will have to stump up big for Zouma's promising talents.

"Currently I have received no offers for Zouma or for any other player," Romeyer told L'Equipe.

"For €12million (£9.5m) there will be no deal. We need Zouma this season.

"Is he untransferable? That doesn't mean anything in football.

"I don't know what could happen. There are things impossible to refuse."
