Guirane N'Daw is hoping he can make his loan spell at Ipswich Town a permanent stay.
The 28-year old midfielder is on a season-long loan from French club Saint-Etienne and admits he would love to remain at Portman Road after making eight Championship appearances since his arrival.
"I used to watch English football on the TV when I was younger and it was always my ambition to come over here and play," he told the club's official website.
"It was an easy decision to come here to Ipswich when the opportunity came up. I want to play my football here. I think I have the physical abilities to do well in English football.
"I'm at Ipswich for the season and my first importance is to fight for the club, fight to get Ipswich up the table.
"I want to take it step by step but yes why not, if a chance came along to get a long-term contract here I would be happy. We will see."
