Saha confident Falcao can deal with Man Utd pressure

Louis Saha is supremely confident that Radamel Falcao can become a Manchester United success.

The Colombian striker has been underwhelming since joining on loan from Monaco in the summer, scoring just four goals in 19 appearances in an injury-riddled beginning to life at Old Trafford.

Falcao has shown some glimpses of the brilliance that led to his lucrative loan deal in the summer but has generally been well below par, mainly due to fitness problems.

However, former Red Devils forward Saha knows the ex-FC Porto and Atletico Madrid star has enough quality in his locker to become a top goalcorer for Louis van Gaal's United.

"I have sympathy for Falcao - I know how hard it is to be a striker," Saha said.

"There is always a lot of competition at Manchester United. It's a battle but I have no doubts about him. He has the quality to do a great job there.

"Falcao is under pressure because of his contract and because of the amount of money that's involved.

"And when you are in a different formation or under different management then you have to adapt. It could take three months, six months or maybe even a year before you understand it - it happens even to the best players."
