Sagna happy to extend Arsenal contract

Bacary Sagna says he's willing to extend his stay with Arsenal.

The France fullback has talked up the prospect of moving to AS Monaco or PSG.

But he told Gulf News: "We are still talking about a new contract.

"I never said that I want to leave the club, but journalists speculate about it because I only have a one-year contract."

A departure is not an option for the time being for Sagna.

"The fact is that I'm still an Arsenal player and I am looking forward to next season. Arsenal made me grow as a player and as a man. Much has been talked about a return to France, but I'm still at Arsenal."
