Bacary Sagna is full of praise for Manchester City teammate Samir Nasri.
The fullback was speaking after France training yesterday. Nasri has retired from Les Bleus in recent weeks.
"Samir is a very nice person. It is true that many want a lot from him, many critics, but basically he's a good person.
"He was hurt by some reports about him. I totally understand this, because playing for France, it should be fun. He is not perfect, he has flaws but he also has a lot of qualities.
"Joining the France team and being criticized all the time is not necessarily easy. To see his family suffer as it has is not easy, he's still human.
"He wanted to avoid this, avoid hurting his family and so he took it upon himself (to retire)."
