Chelsea have sacked manager Antonio Conte ahead of the new season, per Sky Sport in Italy.

While the club are not confirming or denying the news, it appears Conte's time at the club has come to an end.

He will be replaced by Maurizio Sarri, who is set to join from Napoli.

We could be seeing the end of a long-running saga, with Conte touted for the sack ever since Chelsea finished their season by winning the FA Cup.

While Conte led the Blues to the Premier League title in his first season, they finished outside the top four places last term.

Chelsea are also the favourites to complete the signing of Brazilian Jorginho from Napoli.
