Sacchi insists Italy should've performed better

Former Italy and AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi felt they underperformed at the World Cup.

Sacchi has insisted that Cesare Prandelli had his balance wrong in Brazil.

"The national team only seems to pull itself together in extreme situations," he told Marca.

"We have always been like this. Only when there is hatred around the team do we seem to pull our socks up and perform.

"Prandelli didn't strike the right balance for me. We had possession, but in isolation it's useless."
