Sabella admits Argentina lucky after late, late win

Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella admits they were lucky after their World Cup triumph over Switzerland.

After 118 minutes, Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria fired in an angled drive on Leo Messi's assist.

"Luckily we were able to win the game in extra time," said Sabella.

"The first half Switzerland were on top, then it was us. It was a strange game.

"Now we have to rest up and prepare for the next game."

Sabella was asked whether this reminded him of beating England on penalties in the 1998 World Cup, when he was assistant manager to Daniel Passarella.

"As a Coach there was a greater weight on my shoulders, but luckily we were able to win in 120 minutes."
