AS Roma sports chief Walter Sabatini insists they still believe in defender Simon Kjaer.

There's talk Roma won't be taking up the option to sign the Dane permanently from Wolfsburg.

"To err in a few games for Roma becomes a final sentence. He has only gone wrong with a few plays, not games," said Sabatini.

"When a 1.90m-tall player with blond hair makes mistakes, it is different to when a 1.70m-tall player with brown hair makes the same mistakes.

"Kjaer is a strong player and I think we'll see him on the field on Saturday."
