Former Lazio sports chief Walter Sabatini admits he urged president Claudio Lotito to bring Mauro Zarate to Italy.

"I recommended the signing of Zarate," revealed Sabatini. "I liked him already during his time at Velez.

"(President) Claudio Lotito has listened to my advice and Lazio has managed to bring to Rome a player of great talent."
