Ryan Taylor is pushing for a Newcastle United start.

Taylor scored twice for the U21s this week.

He was out injured for two years but made a stunning return to action in the League Cup against Man City.

Taylor told the Evening Chronicle: "It's another step. It's crucial.

"I need to get more 90 minutes under my belt then look to push on and get on into the first team squads."
