Ryan Taylor grateful for Hull chance

Ryan Taylor has expressed his gratitude towards Steve Bruce for handing him a chance to revive his career at Hull City.

Following some injury-hit seasons at Newcastle United, Taylor was cruelly shown the door by the club at the end of last season.

Due to his troubles with injuries, many felt that Taylor would struggle to find a new club but the Tigers have recently swooped in to give the defender a great opportunity.

The 30-year-old is certainly appreciative of the chance and has vowed to repay the faith put in him by manager Bruce.

"A big factor for signing for Hull City was that they wanted me," Taylor told the Hull Daily Mail.

"Steve asked me in to train with them for a couple of days.

"I've known him a long time and the fact he asked me to train for him to see what condition I was in was good. I've had 10 years of playing in the Premier League and I am going to miss it, but I'm really looking forward to this challenge at Hull City this season.

"It will be the biggest I've faced in my career. I'm looking forward to it because I'm fresh and feeling fine.

"I'm just grateful for Steve for taking a chance on me."
