Ryan Griffiths dominates in big Beijing win

Beijing Guoan annihilated Changchun Yatai 6-2 in the Chinese Super League on the weekend. Led by a double from Australian attacker Ryan Griffiths, Beijing jumped to fifth on the league table, closing the gap on Changchun who remain in fourth.

Yang Hao got the first goal for the visitors in 20th minute before Griffiths added a second just over ten minutes later.

Seven minutes after the re-start, Griffiths added his second and Beijing's third and all of a sudden the match was out of reach for Changchun.

A fourth goal was provided by Yang Xianchuang and things got worse before they got better for the Jilin province team.

Midfielder Sui Dongliang made it 5-0 for Beijing before the home side got some respect back through Cao Tianbao in the 82nd minute but neither side was finished there.

Yang got his second to make it 6-1 four minutes later and then Changchun's Honduran striker Elvis Scott scored in injury time to complete the match.
