The Times says the appointment of Jose Mourinho has seen the Welshman offered a new position at the club.

After two years of being Louis van Gaal's assistant, Giggs is set to exit the role with the Special One bringing in his own staff.

The United legend is currently in Dubai and has told the club he wants time to consider his future at Old Trafford.

Officials have offered Giggs a role thought to be a bridge between the under-21 side and the first team.
