Ryan Bennett chose Norwich over Swansea offer

Ryan Bennett admits he turned down Swansea City to sign for Norwich City this week.

The Swans had yet to agree a fee with Peterborough when their Barclays Premier League rivals pounced for Bennett, who signed a three-and-a-half-year contract at Carrow Road on Tuesday night.

The England Under-21 international told The Posh Player: "Swansea were interested and I had to make my way down there because of the 11 o'clock deadline.

"I got near Windsor then got the phone call to turn around. That's football and it's something I had to deal with."
