Rutgers University forward Samuel Archer has won Chicago Fire's fifth annual Open Tryout.
The 23-year old will now join the Fire for preseason training as he looks to impress enough to be offered a professional contract.
"Winning the open tryout means everything to me," Archer said in a statement.
"It's always been my ultimate goal and dream to play professionally. This is a good step on my journey to becoming a professional player and I'm ready to show what I've got."
