Russian multi-millionaire David Traktovenko is expected to take most of the control over Sydney FC in the immediate future. The 52-year old businessman will take over most of Frank Lowy's entire stake in the club and will aim to turn the Sky Blues into a powerhouse like he did with Zenit St Petersburg in Russia's Premier League.

As Football Federation chairman, Lowy has had pressure heaped on him in recent times due to conflicting interests and it seems to be the major reason for parting ways with his multi-million dollar shares.
