Everton midfielder Stephen Pienaar is on the radar of newly-crowned Russian champions Rubin Kazan. Rubin coach Kurban Berdyev has picked out South Africa international Pienaar as one of his primary targets.

"Last year we had talks with the South African Pienaar," Berdyev told Sport Express.

"He is now at Everton, but he doesn't always play and he may be thinking about our offer."

Pienaar signed a three-year contract at Everton in the summer after impressing on loan from Borussia Dortmund last season.
