Russia coach Guus Hiddink has revealed Roman Abramovich is planning for long-term success at Chelsea.

The Dutchman is a confidant of Chelsea owner Abramovich, who pays his salary as the coach rebuilding Russian football.

Hiddink told the Sunday Mirror: "In football things can change quickly. But right now moving to Chelsea is not a logical move.

"Roman and I have created a big project - Russian football for the 2010 World Cup.

"He sees Russia's progress and development as the blueprint for the whole situation at Chelsea. I will not say I will never take the Chelsea job."

Hiddink added: "He does not give orders. What he does is leave space for me to fill things in. The clearer I point out things to him about football, the better he likes it.

"Despite his huge wealth, Roman never abuses his status. I find him an incredibly relaxed person.

"At Chelsea, decisions are taking place in the short term. With Russia it's long term.

"That's why I thought it was so positive to receive a text message from him after the 3-0 defeat by England at Wembley. It said, 'Don't worry. We think the way Russia play is already more attractive than before'.

"I suspect this is the key reason why it went wrong between Roman and Jose Mourinho at Chelsea."
