Russia coach Dick Advocaat has no doubts about Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin.

Advocaat backed skipper Arshavin to come good for Russia after a lacklustre performance in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Poland.

He said: "He is our captain and I will keep playing him.

"People say he looked tired and I should have substituted him in the last game. Andrey did lose the ball a lot and that can cost you the game.

"But I left him there because he is a player who can score a goal out of nothing."
