Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder Russell Teibert has signed a new contract.

Teibert is proud of the multi-year contract.

"This contract is a big deal to me," Teibert told canada.com.

"To know that I'm going to be in Vancouver for another couple of years, it's a great opportunity for me to keep building and keep chasing my dreams.

"There's a lot more to come. There's a lot more room to grow."
