Oldham Athletic have cut short Albert Rusnak's loan stay.
The 19-year old Slovakian midfielder has returned to Manchester City after making just two appearances for the Latics in a loan agreement which was supposed to run until January 5.
"All parties felt it was better for the 19-year-old Rusnak to pursue the opportunities available to him with City's Elite Development Squad," read a statement on Oldham's official website.
"Manager Lee Johnson says he is disappointed the loan, which was due to expire on January 5th, didn't work out."
