Liverpool legend Ian Rush insists the current squad has the right quality.
Rush feels the team have been disrupted by the huge turnover in players during the summer when manager Kenny Dalglish rebuilt the squad. He claims the current players are good enough and need to believe in themselves more.
"Some of the players are still young and they are still learning what Liverpool Football Club is all about," he told the Sunday Mirror.
"They've got a great coach in Steve Clarke and a great manager in Kenny and if everyone sticks together, they will get through this. They will be better for this in the long run."
