Dutch Eredivisie champions FC Twente have released Australian striker Nikita Rukavytsya from his contract.

The club announced yesterday that the 22-year old will not be back at De Grolsch Veste next term after he spent most of the championship-winning season on loan with Belgian outfit KSV Roeselare.

The former Perth Glory man is currently in South Africa with the Socceroos squad preparing for the World Cup but will be in search of a new club once his national team duties are finished.
