Rubin Kazan are set to land Bologna defender Salvatore Bocchetti.

The defender, who was included in the national team at the last World Cup, had long been transfer listed and was, in the past, close to both Juventus and Milan.

"At the moment I am talking with Genoa," said agent Andrea D'Amico. "We received this offer a while ago but it never turned into a proper negotiation.

"Last night things changed though and now we are already working on his contract."
