Rubin Kazan 1-1 Barcelona: Russians hold Barca yet again

Russian outfit Rubin Kazan have continued their good recent run against Spanish giants Barcelona by forcing a 1-1 draw.

Rubin were again a nuisance for Barcelona and managed to take the lead when Christian Noboa struck from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark but David Villa was able to save the blushes of the Catalans with a penalty of his own in the 60th minute.

Despite the draw, Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola was happy with the performance of his players.

"The team attacked well and did everything to win," he told the club's official website. "I am pleased with the players. We did nothing wrong and only needed to just put one of our chances away. I felt that we created enough opportunities to win.

"They played well defensively," he added. "With these types of teams going in front can be a little advantage."
