Real Salt Lake have completed the signing of David Viana subject to him receiving a US work permit.

The 20-year old Portuguese midfielder joins RSL from Atletico Madrid's reserves team and his arrival has general manager Garth Lagerwey excited.

"We're excited to add a talented young player like David to the team," Lagerwey said.

"We believe he'll be a valuable addition to our roster long-term and think he can give us another attacking option."
