Real Salt Lake young gun Luis Gil believes youth players in the USA are developing at a rapid rate.
The 19-year old midfielder feels that those playing under US U20 boss Tab Ramos are being cultivated into smarter players who are learning a pass-specific game to help take them forward.
"American soccer has been evolving with players getting better on the ball and with passing," he told the New York Times.
"It's always an improvement we've been seeing with US Soccer and it feels good to be a part of it. We just have to take it to the next level."
