Manchester United No2 Steve Round has offered fresh hope to Anderson.
Round was happy to mention the forgotten Brazilian when discussing United's midfield options.
"We have some very good footballers - Michael Carrick is an unbelievably good passer, Tom Cleverley is busy, lively and links play, Anderson will drive forward with the ball, dribble and create," said Round.
