Former England assistant coach Steve Round says Steve McClaren faces a "tough job" at Newcastle United.

Round has turned down an approach from McClaren to join the Toon.

Round admits that McClaren has a “tough" job, although he said it was a “great job".

He said: “Steve's got a tough job. After last season he's got to rebuild the club, so it's a tough job, but it's also a great job. And with him sitting on the board he should be able to implement the changes he needs to implement."
