Former PSG star Jerome Rothen has urged his old club to ignore Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

The Belgium international is high on PSG chief Antero Henrique's summer shopping list, with talks resuming this week.

But Rothen told RMC: "Thibaut Courtois is a reference, but is it the priority today to take a goalkeeper?

"I do not think so. I think there is a lot to change.

"Alphonse Areola, you have to give him some time. He is only 25 years old and he can still progress, it is also important to keep players who have the soul of this club. Areola is one of them."
