Rossi wants Man Utd chance

On-loan striker Giuseppe Rossi believes he can be the answer to Manchester United's attacking problems.

Rossi, 20, spent last season on loan at Newcastle United and then Italian Serie A side Parma in a bid to play some first-team football.

The American-born Italian scored nine times in 19 games for Parma and believes he can return to Old Trafford next season and force his way into the first-team picture.

The Italy Under-21 international has played down talk of a summer move to Juventus and has urged Sir Alex Ferguson to give him a chance following the news that United forward Louis Saha will not be fit for the start of the new campaign.

"It is all a bit confusing at the moment," said Rossi.

"All I will say is that my main goal is still what it always has been - that's to cut it with Manchester United.

"Joining Juventus is just talk. I've read about it once or twice but it's not on my mind."
