Giuseppe Rossi is convinced Villarreal will kickoff 2009 in grand style with victory at Real Madrid tomorrow.

The Italy striker said: "The start of the year is very motivating for any player. Playing at the Bernabeu is very difficult, but I believe we can achieve a positive result and win.

"Our intention is to go to Madrid to win, because it is very important not to lose ground on those above us, which is where we want to be."
