Lazio coach Delio Rossi was unimpressed by his team's performance in yesterday's friendly defeat to Atletico Madrid.
"We were balanced in terms of our play, but clearly if you make mistakes in defence and leave your opponents unmarked, you're going to concede goals.
"The difference is made in the individual incidents, but this is part of the sport and games like this are needed to gain experience. We must learn the right lessons from this defeat."
The Italians had by far the better of the first half, but poor finishing and even worse defending saw them lose 3-1.
"We weren't very sharp and ended the match very tired, but we could have easily equalised when it was 1-0. We must also point out that we hit the crossbar twice."
