Fiorentina coach Delio Rossi says there was nothing sinister in the omission of Alessio Cerci for victory over AS Roma.

Cerci was out injured, but there are reports he was also suspended for missing a curfew twice this week.

"Cerci is injured and there is no disciplinary sanction on him. In any case, in a civil society and in a squad when someone breaks the rules there needs to be some sort of punishment. That's more of a general issue rather than specifically this case," said Rossi.
