Palermo coach Delio Rossi is excited by the potential of his young team.
Rossi guided the Rosanero to within touching distance of Champions League qualification last season.
He said: "We are building something new. This is the team that has put my ideas into practice more than any other. We have lads who were born in 1989 and 1990 who will have greater influence next year.
"We will try and go all the way in the Europa League because it has been an important objective and now you can't snob it with respect to Serie A where we wish to repeat ourselves.
"The objective is 18 starters plus three or four youngsters. I am ambitious, but I don't sell results that I can't get. I would like it if the team were to place itself comfortably behind the big clubs."
