Ross County stun Celtic in cup semi-final

Ross County reached the Scottish Cup final courtesy of a 2-0 win over there more illustrious opponents Celtic at Hampden Park. The Hoops slumped to one of the worst results in their history as they looked out of sorts against their Irn-Bru First Division opponents.

Derek Adams' side fully deserved their win after dominating for most of the first 45 minutes and if they did enjoy a moment of fortune when Georgios Samaras hit the post with the score at 1-0 no one would begrudge them their moment in the sun.

After a scoreless first half County soon went into the lead as Steven Craig waltzed through the Celtic defence to lash home.

The Hoops tried to get back into the game with Robbie Keane their most dangerous player but with two minutes remaining a famous victory was secured , Martin Scott volleying home from a couple of yards after good work from Andrew Barrowman.

The Highland side can now look forward to another day out at Hampden Park on 15th May, where they will meet either Dundee United or Raith Rovers in the final.
