Derek Adams was bitterly disappointed with Ross County's premature exit in the Scottish League Cup on Tuesday night.
The Staggies led League One Stranraer by a goal at half-time but conceded twice in six minutes in the second half before netting with just over ten minutes remaining to level it at 2-2.
However, a late goal from Stranraer decided Ross County's fate and Adams was left to rue what might have been.
"We go in 1-0 at half time and are in control of the match at that stage. To get back to 2-2 with I think five minutes to go, you think you can get them to extra time," he said.
"Obviously, they scored the goal and were able to go through. I've been in cup shocks myself and it is always good for them but for us we are obviously disappointed."
