Rosicky ready to sign new Arsenal deal

Tomas Rosicky's agent is confident the Arsenal midfielder's latest injury setback will prevent terms being agreed on a new contract. The Czech Republic international had only recently returned from an 18-month lay-off and he has been restricted to just 75 appearances for the Gunners since his 2006 move from Borussia Dortmund.

Rosicky's current contract expires at the end of the season and his representative Pavel Paska is travelling to London this week to hold further negotiations over a new deal.

"The latest injury can not affect the negotiations on his current contract extension - the contract is already on the table," Paska told deniksport.cz.

"At the end of this week I am going to London and we will be discussing the details.

"And I am sure that we will reach an agreement as both sides are interested in doing that.

"We have been discussing two options - a two-year or three-year contract. As for the terms, all sides will be very happy."
