Rosenior: I'll be better for tough Fulham season

Liam Rosenior is confident he will be a better player for last season's tough times at Fulham.

"I'm getting older and I want to be seen as someone who not only plays for myself but can lead so other people can look to me," he told fulhamfc.com.

"I've got to take more charge in games; I've played nearly 100 matches in the Premiership so the next step for me is to be able to influence others around me. I don't want to be seen as a player who needs to be looked after; I want to go out there and look out for the people around me and help them."

Although the young England defender appreciates that elements of last season's performances weren't acceptable he emphasises the importance of learning from mistakes, progressing and evolving as a team.

"If we haven't learnt the lessons from last season then there has to be something wrong. Everyone makes mistakes but you have to make sure that you don't keep making the same mistakes.

"I think people forget that we've got a lot of young players at the Club. We not only have to look outside of the Club to progress but inside, at ourselves."
