Liam Rosenior is convinced he made the right decision to leave Fulham for Reading last year.

The fullback said: "Every professional footballer will be able to tell you about a time in their life when someone has written them off.

"I used to get told I was too offensive to play in the Premier League.

"But if you look at all the best full-backs in the world, they all help at the other end of the pitch - the likes of Gianluca Zambrotta, Cafu, Ashley Cole.

"If you come from the lower leagues, I think you appreciate it a bit more.

"I have always backed myself to keep my place once I have got it.

"Some people may perceive that as arrogant but I am just a confident person.

"It would be the same whatever club I was playing for."
